THE MUSEUM FUND

EMPLOYERS & EDUCATION
Most reservists either attend post secondary education or work full time. The Windsor Regiment benefits when soldiers find career work in the local community. The Windsor Regiment invests training and development in young people (about 25% are under 25); but ultimately retention is linked to them finding career work locally and having a work place that sees benefits from employing reservists. The Windsor Regiment is motivated to work cooperatively with local employers to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship as co-employers.
DID YOU KNOW?
Training is cyclical
Individual training usually occurs during the summer or on the weekends.
Exercises
The Regiment has a regular/annual cycle of exercises used to confirm capabilities both individual and collective. Most happen on the weekends; however, during August the main collective exercise occurs and maximum attendance is sought, usually for about 10 days.
Employer Compensation
The Department of National Defence (DND) knows it can be challenging to an employer's place of business to allow their employee to be out of the workplace attending training, exercises and deployments. Some programs have been developed to help.
Employer Benefits
There are potential benefits to employers of reservist. Soldiers are known for having strong leadership, critical thinking and ability to work in teams. Armoured Soldiers use optics, sensors and other advanced technology .

Monthly Draw
A chance to contribute to The Regimental Charity and win money at the same time. Based on the 50/50 draw concept and on $10 per month. Maximum split is $10,000.00 Canadian dollars.
